Excuse me for Interrupting

Ok, I promise not to do this too many times and just keep adding additional posts that don't have anything to do with your reading of Nehemiah.

BUT... I think it would be nice if some of you out there would introduce yourself.

We had 10 ladies last night (Wednesday night at Oak Grove) and we all had to at least say our names. But, I'd really love to know who's going through the study. Give us your name, location (if you don't mind) and feel free to share a little bit about yourself (like why you are doing this study or what you are hoping to learn from it or what your favorite color is)!

And for those of you that I know for sure are doing this study, you better post something or I might just post for you... and there is no telling what I'll say about you ;)

Ok, now back to our study!

  1. Hello, my name is Stephanie Goodwyn - I consider First Christian Church to be my home church although I am often not there on Sundays. I am glad that this online version of the bible study is available because I will have a hard time getting to Oak Baptist on Wednesday nights but still very much need and enjoy the fellowship with other ladies. Thank you to Jamie for keeping us on our toes. I have only just begun to understand and act on serving the Lord. I do know that during the times when I walk every step the way I think God would want me too - those are the times when I have the most peace in my life. Can't wait to meet everyone soon :)

    1. Welcome Stephanie! So glad that you are joining us. We all look forward to meeting you, but until that day continue to walk with Christ and seek His will in your life. And you are so right, when we are walking with Christ (and not ahead of Him) there is peace in our life.

  2. Hi my name is Leah Hines I am 30 years old and married. I have two little girls 7 and 2. I have chose to do the bible study at Oak Grove Baptist Church where I am a member. Well at first I really did not have a great reason other than I knew I would be at church on Wednesday, I might as well do this Bible study but I was reading the remaining pages of session 1 and on page 14 Kelly ask us? Do you think Nehemiah was a great leader because of his skills or because he had a God-inspired heart. (God - inspired heart) - I WANT THAT - a heart that feels I need to do something even if I can't do much I want the compassion Nehemiah had. There is always prayer if nothing else! Oh and by the way my favorite colors are pink and blue.

    1. Welcome Leah! I'm really excited about what's to come in the next few weeks with this study. It's so encouraging to know that we don't have to know everything, or be the best leader, or have it all together... but if we will give God our best and have a willing heart... He can and will use us for His glory! (And by the way, Who has 2 favorite colors?!?!?)

  3. Howdy! My name is Meagan Smith (originally from Hardee) but I currently reside in Winter Haven. I am only posting something before Jamie gets on here and posts something for me :) Just kidding! I am employed with the Polk County School Board and teach Physical Education K-12. I am currently teaching in Lakeland at a middle school and absolutely love it! I am single and I have one son (my dog) Gator, my favorite color is blue, and I also coach softball at Frostproof Mid-Senior HS. I am a member of Florida's 1st Assembly of God here in Wauchula and have attended there all my life. God is doing amazing things in our church body and I'm so excited to be a part of it. Now on to Nehemiah! All I can say is WOW so far. I am enjoying what we have done so far in this study. This is my first virtual Bible study and I am looking to God to do great things. I am looking to be challenged in this study, for God to break my heart, for Him to strengthen my prayer life greatly, and for Him to show his vision He has for my life. I crave to seek His face in all that I do and I pray for each person going through this study to do the same. God does hear our prayers; all we have to do is completely trust Him in everything we do! God Bless each one of you :)

    1. Welcome Meagan! You are probably one of the ones that is lucky that they introduced themselves :) And while this is your first Virtual Bible Study... just know that it's mine too! I love how you mention that you look forward to your prayer life being strengthened. I honestly believe that it will and that there is no greater reward than expecting to hear from God and Him answer your prayers.

  4. I am Lidenia Servin. I am part of the First Christian Church of Wauchula family, which is part of an even greater church family! My husband of 16 years and I have been blessed with four tender-hearted children. They have been very supportive in my journey to serve in our local community. I'm so happy to be going through this Bible Study with an amazing group of women that have such an insight into God's heart! I am blessed to hear and read the responses of each woman to the questions prompted by Kelly. I can't begin to express how much I look forward to any opportunity to gather with women who are in a loving relationship with Christ. I will be praying desperately for each woman involved and participating in this study. Believing our God has a miraculous adventure for each one of us!

    1. Hello Sister in Christ! I'm so glad that you will be joining us both in our study on Wednesdays and Virtually. So cool! Having a heart of expectation is so vital to our walk with Christ. And I'm so blessed that each one of you will be joining us in this journey to see where God leads us.

  5. Hi my name is Linda Hernandez and I attend First Christian Church of Wauchula. I am have been married for ten years and my husband and I are waiting to adopt. I am a teacher and Hardee Junior High and love it. I was able to go on my first missions trip this past summer to the Dominican Republic with SMM. The trip totally wrecked my world and changed my life. When I returned from the Dominican Republic I realized that my christian walk was missing a major component, Missions. I have such a heart for kids and there are millions of kids that are suffereing around the world. I am so excited about this study. I know that I will be blessed by it and that God will use the study to continually speak to me through this study so that I am able to pinpoint exactly what it is that he wants me to do and where he wants me to serve. I am so exctied to be able to share this with you all.

  6. Hey! I'm Sarah Idsardi. I grew up in Wauchula and came back to teach at one of the elementary schools here- with some of my former teachers! I love traveling and serving God, so my passions collided by spending 5 weeks at a malnutrition center with Orphans Heart in Guatemala this summer. I'm looking forward to getting back there this December with my mom and sister-in-law. On Wednesdays I help out with our youth group so I'm excited that we have this option of getting together virtually to study God's word.
